KLM ground crew to strike for 8 hours next Wednesday, unions announce Update 9:14 a.m. - article updated to add a quote from KLM
KLM’s ground crew workers will go on strike next Wednesday, the trade unions CNV and FNV announced. The Dutch airline’s luggage handlers, counter staff, and security guards, among others, will stop working for eight hours. “We want KLM to come up with something concrete for the ground staff. We will not accept vague promises,” CNV said. KLM wants to enter into talks with the unions, the airline told ANP. https://nltimes.nl/2025/07/02/klm-ground-crew-strike-8-hours-next-wednesday-unions-announce Mariette Sohns Op woensdag 2 juli 2025 om 13:50:27 CEST schreef Tom Ronell via Mifnet <mifnet@lists.mifnet.com>:  The nationwide French ATC strike is confirmed from 0500z on Thursday July 3 to 0500z on Saturday July 5. Significant disruption expected across the country, particularly in the regions around Paris and the southeast. LFMN/Nice will be one of the hardest hit - BizAv operators are required to cancel all flight plans scheduled for July 3 between 0400-2200z. Several smaller airports including LFBZ/Biarritz, LFBP/Pau, and LFBL/Limoges face partial or full ATC closures, and flight reduction programs are also confirmed for bigger airports like LFPG/De Gaulle, LFPO/Orly, LFLL/Lyon, and LFML/Marseille. For overflights, expect delays if routing through the Marseille or Paris ACCs. At this stage, a detailed prognosis is only available for July 3. Similar measures are likely to continue into July 4, but these will be confirmed following a coordination meeting this afternoon.   -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Revised: 20250507 You are receiving The Mifnet because you requested to join this list.
