I agree. But the Trump, Obama, Bush, Clinton, Bush administrations did the same thing. All the headlines from the administration are like this especially those from DHS which characterizes every ICE arrest as a notorious criminal out to mow down the US population.
I remember attending an A4A event years ago and telling someone Congress didn't give a damn about aviation as reflected in its funding. I noticed an A4A rep looking at me as tho I had two heads. Well, Congress does give A4A what it wants as well as lots of bailouts. That doesn't mean it cares about the FAA until something goes wrong and then it is great at pointing fingers but not looking in the mirror.
