It has for decades been up to operators whether (and ATC, who could
incentivize/mandate) they utilize proven COTS services to actively
self-help, or to 'fire and forget', rely on others to sort it out, then
invoke disclaimers.
Unclear how the vaunted 'AI' would change that much, except for airlines
(or 'Brand New ATC') to claim they are using it -- like many claimed
'innovations' before it.
