I suggest that you really mean AIRCRAFT noise. There is a very long history of regulation concerning commercial aircraft generated noise. Also, the word “noise” might alternatively be changed to “sound”.
Aircraft sound focuses on technology, such as engine design and noise suppression of the jet exhaust. On the other hand, there is also a long history about noise abatement concerning communities near to airports. Do you mean that subject? Noise abatement generally ignores the details of HOW the sound is generated. It just focuses on decibels. It really doesn’t care much about the technology of sound generation.
