| Southwest "customers of size" seating policy goes viral on TikTok |

A TikTok user has gone viral after sharing her experience with Southwest
Airlines' policy requiring "customers of size" to buy two seats if they
encroach on a neighboring seat. The user says she was singled out by staff and
felt embarrassed and belittled. Southwest's policy allows for a refund if the
extra seat is unused, but the incident has sparked a debate on social media
about the fairness and implementation of the policy.   JK - I'm sorry but if
you're going to flow over your seat and ruin someone else's trip then WN has
the right to do this. Either buy another seat or go First Class. Yes, that's
discriminatory. What is the law?

| Comedian blasts American Airlines after seat reassignment |

Comedian Jim Breuer has criticized American Airlines after being removed from a
first-class seat to accommodate a pilot on a flight from Honolulu to Phoenix.
Breuer, who had purchased first-class seats for his family, was moved to
economy without a comparable alternative, calling the incident "theft." The
incident has sparked debate about the balance between operational needs and
customer expectations, especially as airlin  JK I'm wondering if the situation
couldn't have been handled better. i suspect local personnel were not allowed
the leeway to "make things right" |
