There are probably many dozens if not hundreds of aviation museums
throughout North America. They consist of many sizes and specialize in
either civilian or military aircraft or have both as well as various
artifacts, publications, and other displays. As someone especially
interested in the history of aviation, I have been fortunate to visit many
such facilities in the U.S. and Canada.

Thus it was troubling to read the news of the sudden closing of the Houston
Air Terminal Museum at Hobby Field. Here are several articles from local
media.

Hopefully the powers that be will find a way to reopen this facility to
provide a priceless window on local aviation history, both the building and
its contents, for many years into the future.

Full disclosure - I have donated various items collected in my 13 years
working for Continental Airlines.

If you have an aviation museum near year, please support it with both
monetary and artifact donations.

With best regards,

Cliff Argue
