| Archer is the Theranos of aviation. EVTOLs will come and replace some helicopters for sure - at heli prices. They will never - and cannot - price at UberBlack prices and be profitable. The math don’t work. The conflict in the Gulf is the best thing to happen to Joby and Archer (the latter has a GCAA board member as a regional salesperson) - now they don’t have to be ready for flying uncertified aircraft. The designs are coalescing around one format: tilt rotor (Joby, Archer, Vertical) but Beta’s lift and cruise is a smart concept. Why isn’t anyone using a simpler, more efficient design that already works, i.e., a low disc loading heli (actually Robinson is working on this). Michael Rurik Halaby, FRAeS Thank you sir. Follows the Archer pattern. Their announcements over the years didn't fit what I'd expect from a company working a serious cert program. I hope they pull it out, especially with Abu Dhabi in the mix. Read the story in the link below, it's loaded with disconnects in Archer's timeline. <586.jpg> I really believe this eVTOL industry will work. I think Joby is doing pretty well, their story is much more linear & connected. I think this industry is following the same lines of early aviation. DOZENS of new & wacky designs that come & go because of good old Darwinism. Then the stronger ones get sucked up by the mega-money outfits & ultimately only a few survive. I'm calling it the Great Shake-out.
