Hi Omar, it's great to see another person join the project. I'm curious what you are planning to use Mifos for if you can give us any background.
There are a few steps to add a feature -- 1) work with the functional team to get approval on the functional changes. For now, I'd suggest emailing the mifos-functional list to start this process. The purpose of this step is to make sure any feature that is added is general enough so the product can still potentially be used by every MFI. For example, if not everyone wants to see mother's maiden name, it might need to be a configurable option. 2) submit a contributor agreement - this should be posted on mifos in the next few weeks. 3) then go through the code submission process, which is documented here: http://mifos.org/developers/technical-orientation/code-submission-process-1/?searchterm=patch%20submission HTH, Sam On Dec 6, 2007 8:14 AM, omar bilani <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Hi all > i'm trying to develop my first task on MIFOS, this will be adding the > mother's name in the client's info page. > i created the feature request page > http://www.mifos.org/developers/wiki/MothersNameInTheCustomerCreation please > guide me now on how to proceed from here, > 1) How to create a link to this page. > 2) What is the next step, after checking out the code and creating the > task?! is there a request to commit somewhere! or another specification or > design document to create. > > Waiting for a reply > > Thanks in advance, > Omar > > ------------------------------------------------------------------------- > SF.Net email is sponsored by: The Future of Linux Business White Paper > from Novell.
