Ah, I see! Thank you.

I filed a bug (#1573) since this seems like something it would be good
to address in the future.

I'm guessing this is probably a post-v1.1 issue, but perhaps it could be
done pre-v1.1 if someone (volunteer?) has time. At least, it doesn't
seem like it would conflict with current v1.1 work.
