Hello Arpita,
Thanks for sending along the first draft of test cases for v1.1. I've put together the following chart (below) to track what has been received in terms of test cases from your team and overall status of each. In terms of tracking the progress and making sure we all have visibility into the latest updates, etc. I am going to do the following things: 1. Create a wiki page to track v1.1 QA progress (including the chart below) 2. Create a repository for the v1.1 test cases that are being created both by the IBM QA team as well as other testers in the community and our internal team (probably in source control) 3. Link all of the test cases to the functional specifications on Mifos.org In terms of next steps, I am going to begin reviewing the test cases, starting in priority order based on the list below. Since the first draft of configuration has not yet been completed, I will start with Loan Defaults based on Previous Loan Amounts, followed by Disbursals and Repayments on Non-Meeting Days, etc. For the rest of the lower-priority features for which you have not provided test cases yet (other than Configuration), I would suggest holding off on creating test cases. I think we should probably have the first set signed-off before going onto the next set. Also, this way we can review the way we are going about things with our new test manager, Jeff, when he starts and has had time to ramp-up in the next couple of weeks. I will look through the first set of test cases now, try and provide some estimates for when I can complete review/feedback for each of the test cases you have provided so far, and start to provide you my initial set of feedback. We can discuss further during our call tomorrow (Wednesday) at 10pm IST.
