Have you tried doing the same actions on the mifos test server (http://test.mifos.org:8085/mifos), which is running the lastest version of the code, or alternatively, trying it on the mifos demo server (http://mifos.org/product/demo-the-software/demo#demo-server) which is running a v1.0 stable version of Mifos to see if you run into the same issue? That will help us to understand better what you are experiencing (if it's something related to a recent bug in the code, etc). If the issue occurs on the test server, the next steps are to open a bug in the issue tracker so we can investigate and fix the issue. When I clicked on the "Disburse Loan" link, it did not ask me for Disbursal date, but you said it will ask. What I just noticed is that whenever I click on the "Disburse Loan" link,I usually get an error_on_my_command_line telling me that mifos.accepted_payment_type does not exist. You will then be asked for Disbursal date, you can't insert a future date but you can enter the current date or back date to a certain extent, i.e the disbursal date cannot be prior to the last meeting date of the customer. Also enter mode of payment , Cash may be the only option..
