There are others on the list that can comment, but a while back, Tom
Bostelmann had made some change which resulted in requiring 1GB of RAM
to run the tests. I had concerns about it, but didn't hear feedback
from anyone that it was an issue for them. I don't think anything has
been done to reduce the amount of memory required by the test suite
since then.

Others on the list can chime in, but I think the only solution right now
is to upgrade the amount of RAM in your machine. Otherwise, you could
potentially propose some ideas for reducing the amount of memory
required for us to discuss as a group?

Subject: [Mifos-developer] System Requirements for Running Tests

Hi,

I'm using Vista Home Premium on a machine with 1 GB or RAM (128 MB
shared with this video card). Last May, I had no problems running the
tests on my box. I now get Out of Memory errors when running the tests,
even though the compilation and server run fine. Is there a workaround
short of adding RAM? Has anyone experimented with breaking up the test
suite?

Thanks,

Jonathan
