Based on some observations of other deployments, I would encourage you to
evaluate the default values you will use in fields, and in particular the date
fields you use for things like CREATED_DATE, for example. Providing accurate
dates on historical data will aid you in future reporting and save future
confusion.

Subject: [Mifos-functional] ENDA-Mifos: Data migration analysis-Phase 1

Hi,

We have started Monday a high level analysis before the kick start of the data
migration process. The basic pattern which will be followed during this phase
is to:

- Establish a mapping, at a high level, between the different entities of the
system (Customers (Individuals, Groups), Accounts (Customers, loans) and
personal)

- Work on a typical data migration analysis based on the entity "Customer" :

    * Analyse the customer data in Mifos

    * Establish for the entity Customer a mapping between Enda's current MIS
and Mifos (Transformation rules)

    * Based on this mapping, analyse the MIS data and establish the different
mechanisms for data cleaning (which could be either automated cleaning or
manual cleaning).

Please let me know if you have any comments.

PS: This analysis is based on Enda's MIS description provided by Lassaad Belhaj

Best regards.
