Related to OXIA-ENDA Mifos project, we have started a high level analysis of
data migration based on db 157. We took the customer entity as an example to
define the mapping between Mifos data model and data to import from current
ENDA's MIS.
When exploring Mifos data model some question have raised about some unused
tables/columns and the logic behind the use of some others.
Table: Customer
1- I have noted in the customer table that when the column
"Discriminator" is equal to Group, the Group_Flag, as for it, is equal to NULL.
What is the logic behind this?
2- What is the difference between MFI_JOINING_DATE column and
CUSTOMER_ACTIVATION_DATE column? Knowing that the MFI_JOINING_DATE is filled
when activating the customer.
3- What are those columns used for: MAX_CHILD_COUNT, HO_UPDATED, and
CLIENT_CONFIDENTIAL? Could you please provide a business example?
4- Is DISPLY_NAME column filled based on the system configuration? E.g:
[First name/ Middle name/ Last name]
Tables: Customer_checklist / customer_flag_detail/ customer_historical_data/
customer_level/ customer_meeting_detail / customer_movement/ customer_position/
inherited_meeting
What are those tables for? Knowing that I have tried several scenarios and
sometimes records are registered and sometimes they are not. Are those tables
just related to features which developments still in progress? I need more
detailed description about those tables and when records are registered in.
I would be grateful if you could answer those questions as soon as possible so
that we could make a good progress in our analysis process.
