Hi Andrew,
A lot of people have asked this question and I haven't had the chance to
put up clear instructions around this yet on Mifos.org, There are
backups of WAR files and DBs taken from the test server on a regular
basis in this location:
ftp://build.mifos.org/
These are obviously not stable, released WAR files for deployment, but
will allow you to easily install a recent DB/WAR file without having to
build from scratch or enter all of your own data.
Additionally, Bamboo, our continuous integration server, has the WAR
file as an artifact of the build ready for download after each build is
complete. If you already have a Mifos DB on your MySQL server with a
recent version number and just want to deploy the newest WAR file (which
will automatically upgrade the DB to the appropriate DB version), you
can just grab the latest WAR file from this location and deploy it:
http://build.mifos.org:8085/bamboo/ (select the most recent build
number and then click on 'Artifacts' and you can download the WAR file
from there).
Please note that both of these options are not stable versions of Mifos
that are candidates for deploying in production at an MFI. They are for
testing/demo purposes only.

Hi all,
With the successful daily builds, are the resulting .war files available
for download? The official instructions on mifos.org seem to require a
full Java development environment to get a working install of Mifos, but
it seems to me that there would be value in making the .war files
available for download so only Java+Apache httpd+Tomcat+MySQL would be
needed to get a working install.
