Hi Emily,

First of all I think that all the points you have raised in your E-mail worth
to be discussed and reviewed. However since we have already validated this
feature with Aliya and since Aliya was not here for a formal sign off, Nazir
started developments since two weeks and he is about to release.
I think that those points could be considered among feature enhancements and
could be scheduled in future releases.

If I have rightly understood this issue, I think that an error should prevent
the user from adding a report that takes more than the account ID as parameter
when defining an administrative document.
Would you please note that Nazir is constrained by a delay to release this
feature. Then this point could be considered in a future release.

We could schedule a call if it stills outstanding points.

Thank you for your diligence.

Subject: [Mifos-functional] Electronic Publishing Feedback

Hi Nesrine,

Below is our feedback on the electronic publishing UI. Apologies if
some of this has already been discussed with Aliya (she's traveling in
Bangladesh right now and it's tough to try to schedule a call with her).

First UI feedback:
(*) Detail page: Given that these documents are going to used fairly
regularly (especially the cash receipt!)-- is there any reason you
wouldn't consider putting these documents in a box in the right hand
column-- perhaps under the transactions box? The links are at the very
bottom of the page, so I think they will be hard to find.

(*) Instead of calling them "administrative documents", can we call them
"Account documents" (I don't think administrative will mean anything to
people outside of Enda). Perhaps others on this list have a better term
to use-- but none of us understand "administrative documents".

Some process-flow feedback:
In the Selecting Admin documents pipeline, instead of building a
separate interface for uploading/editing admin documents-- it's probably
easier and more intuitive if we simply added this functionality into the
UI screens currently used for reports.

(*) On the "Upload Report Template" page, there would be two options
that would always appear in the Report Category dropdown: Savings
Account Documents and Loan Account Documents. If the user selected one
of these categories, then Show when Status selection boxes box would
appear on this page.

(*) These categories (Savings Account Docs and Loan Account Docs) and
their associated "reports" would appear on the reports page as well as
on the detail page. When a user clicks on a report in one of these
sections, the user would be taken to a parameter page with a field to
enter an acct ID. If there were no reports assigned to these
categories, the categories shouldn't appear on the Reports tab. These
categories shouldn't appear on "View Reports Categories" page (or if
they do, the user shouldn't be able to edit/delete them).

(*) The Edit pipeline for these reports should include the "Show when
Status" box. If, in the edit pipeline, the user moves the report into a
different category-- one that is not an account document-- then the
"Show when Status" box should be hidden.

(*) On the "View reports template" page, these account documents should
display under their respective category.

Question for you and the list: Should we have error checking that
prevents a user from assigning a report to an "account document"
category if the report takes more than the account ID as a parameter?
Or if a report takes multiple parameters, should the report link take
the user to the parameter page in the Reports tab to enter the
additional information.

Nesrine-- I know this is a lot of info. Hopefully it makes some sense.
:-) If you need to schedule a call to discuss, I'm generally available
starting at 830am Pacific time / 530pm Tunis time.

Emily
