Hi,
We are developing some of the reports needed by MFIs using MIFOS. As you
guessed right, we are using BIRT for developing report templates.
BIRT is a plugin on Eclipse for developing report templates. Use BIRT
2.1.2 and Eclipse 3.2 for developing reports for MIFOS.
Place the report templates that you build in BirtReportDesign and any
resource file that the reports uses in BirtReportResource.
For resource related to developing reports on BIRT, you can check out the
BIRT community that is very active on eclipse.org. Or you can use
one of the two books mentioned below. These were the only resources that
we used for getting started on BIRT.

2. Addison.Wesley Integrating and Extending BIRT
