Hi Emily,
As discussed with Lassaad, we agreed that:
> (*) And support for "back dated transactions" is allowed-how will Mifos

When "back dated transactions" are allowed and "loan schedule independent of
meeting schedule" is turned on, the system should check at disbursal whether
transaction date is prior or not to the approval date (Date when the loan
account status is edited to approved). If yes, the system should generate an
appropriate error.
This description replaces what was noted in my last e-mail, since there
couldn't be transactions on the loan account prior to disbursal.
Previous description:
<When the loan schedule independent of meeting schedule feature is turned on,
the constraint that prevent the user from entering a transaction date (at
disbursal) prior to the last meeting date should be removed. However the system
should check whether backdated payments are allowed or not. Then, if backdated
payments are allowed the system should prevent from entering a transaction date
(disbursal date) prior to the date of the last transaction made on the loan
account (e.g: Payment/adjustment...etc) >

Currently, before disbursal the disbursal date could be edited.
This flow was described in UC2 of the FS:

Any other comments are welcome.

Objet : RE: [Mifos-functional] ENDA-Mifos: Clarifications about
disbursaltransaction when "loan schedule independent of meetingschedule" is
turned on
Hi Nesrine and Lassaad,
Two more questions came up about "loan schedule independent of meeting
schedule" and I want to clarify what Enda's requirements are around these
scenarios and how you're planning to handle them. If "loan schedule
independent of meeting schedule" is turned on:
(*) And support for "back dated transactions" is allowed-how will Mifos handle
this scenario? Ideally, the user should be able to enter a disbursal date in
the past up until the date the loan was approved (ie, the user shouldn't be
able to enter a disbursal date earlier than the approval date of the loan). Is
this how the feature was implemented?
(*) What happens if the user doesn't disburse the loan on the disbursal date
originally entered when the user creates the loan-and the loan is disbursed a
day or two after the originally scheduled date? Does Enda want the entire loan
schedule recalculated-and the dates of repayment moved forward by the same
number of days? Or do the repayment days remain the same? If the repayment
days remain the same-then does the system need to validate the dates specified
between disbursal and first repayment-or should the system ignore that
validation in this case?
I hope these questions made sense-if not, feel free to ping me on skype.
Cheers,
Emily.

disbursaltransaction when "loan schedule independent of meetingschedule" is
turned on
Hi Nesrine,
So for context for the entire community, this is what you typed as the scenario
in your IM:
1/Client meeting: Third monday of every one month
2/Repayment day: Third monday of every one month
3/Disbursal date :14/03
So, if today's date is 14/03, and you try to disburse the loan on today's date,
you get an error-b/c 14/03 is prior to the next meeting day.
I agree, that this constraint should be removed from the system when "loan
schedule independent of meeting schedule" is enabled.
There's another scenario to think about as well: if the configuration for
backdated payments is turned "on", right now the system blocks you from
entering in a transaction date that is earlier than the previous meeting day.
However, with "loan schedule independent of meeting schedule"-this constraint
doesn't make sense. We think that this constraint should be replaced with a
restraint that prevents the user from entering in a transaction date prior to
the date of the last transaction made against the account.
Does this make sense?
Let us know if you agree.
Emily.

Subject: ENDA-Mifos: Clarifications about disbursal transaction when "loan
schedule independent of meeting schedule" is turned on
Hi Emily/Aliya,
When the "loan schedule independent of meeting schedule" is turned off, the
system validate at disbursal whether the transaction date is prior or not to
the last meeting date and displays an appropriate error. However this
validation step won't have any sense when turning on the configuration settings
related to "loan schedule independent of meeting".
Then when configuration is turned on, we should be able to disburse the loan
even if the transaction date is prior to the last meeting date (which is
defined on the repayment day).
Would please validate this flow so that we could fix this issue as soon as
possible?
Regards,
