Earlier we discussed how the holiday handling feature should interact
with savings accounts. I asked Aliya and Emily to clarify what savings
account dates could be affected by a defined holiday. Here is the
answer:
Basically each savings account has a deposit schedule which corresponds
to meetings, I believe. So, when you look at the account details for a
savings account, you can see that the next deposit due is on the next
meeting day. When you go to bulk entry for a center, it'll
automatically populate the due deposits for each savings account
(client, group or center) for that particular week/meeting.
My sense is that if a holiday exists on a particular day, the savings
deposit schedule should be updated similarly to the loan repayment
schedule. So if the repayment rule is next day then the savings due
deposit date should be updated to the next day. If it's next repayment
day, the savings deposit date should be shifted to the next meeting day.
If the repayment rule is 'same day', the deposit due date should not
change.
