Many, many people contribute to the development of Mifos, but our interactions online are often faceless and impersonal. We rarely talk and even more rarely meet face to face! Here are a couple quick and easy steps you can do to help "put a face" on Mifos development.
1. If you are a committer (meaning, if you have *ever* committed anything to the Mifos Subversion repository), claim your contributions to Mifos on Ohloh: http://ohloh.net/projects/3270/contributors Click on a svn user name (your user id on java.net), click "I know this person" or "I am this person" button, then login or sign up for an account if you don't already have one. It's a good idea to use your real name. I trust Ohloh. 2. Submit a Gravatar: http://gravatar.com/ Sign up for an account, and follow the prompts. Ohloh will automatically fetch your image from gravatar.com. I trust Gravatar. If you do too and you feel comfortable sharing a small image of yourself, go for it! All you need to get started is a photograph of your face. The process is easiest if you start with an image cropped to a 1:1 aspect ratio (square). This can be easily made into a gravatar following the instructions at the links above. Mifos is really about people helping people. Let's let 'em know who those people are! Example use of gravatar by gmane (look for silly photos in upper right corner): http://article.gmane.org/gmane.comp.finance.mifos.devel/4521 Example use of gravatar by Ohloh (see photo next to Mark's name): http://www.ohloh.net/accounts/4818 -- Adam Monsen ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by the 2008 JavaOne(SM) Conference Don't miss this year's exciting event. There's still time to save $100. Use priority code J8TL2D2. http://ad.doubleclick.net/clk;198757673;13503038;p?http://java.sun.com/javaone _______________________________________________ Mifos-functional mailing list Mifos-functional@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/mifos-functional
