Thanks Aliya.

I'm not a Java developer, so that's fine.

I _am_ happy to act as a guinea pig for setting up a Debian production
system from scratch.

My weekend was going to be dedicated to rebuilding our mifos database, so
since it's raining and I can't do much else I'll take it a bit further with
the planned outcome being:
- application/web server rebuilt for production (no ant or JDK, etc)
- database server with current mifos database instance removed and new one
created
- dev/test server with mifos source tree, build and test system, etc
- firewall and reverse proxy rules modified as required to ensure a secure
installation

All running on Debian etch (lenny for the dev/test server, because I can :-)

I will write up notes as I go and post them once I get it running again.

Bearing in mind that I've already done almost all of this already, if you
have any input that might help I'd appreciate it.

What I _would_ like is the implementation instructions for setting up a new
country (let's call it Elbonia in the meantime to protect the identity of my
client).

Elbonia uses English as its primary language, although two other languages
are in widespread use; uses English (as opposed to USAian) spelling; its
currency is called the Elbonian dollar (EB$) and two decimal places are
used; the Elbonian time zone is approximately UTC + 12, making the Mifos
unit tests a PITA for my Elbonian client.

The evaluation system is located in New Zealand, so I'm happy to set the
locale to en_NZ and change to Elbonia later. All the stuff in the previous
sentence remains correct apart from the additional languages - which isn't a
problem in Elbonia since they use English for business.

Regards
Graeme
