Hi all,

Is it possible that Mifos database configuration be done in a dynamic way?
Please read below observation.

Basically there's the Mifos web application and Mifos Database. As I see it,
Mifos database cannot be instantiated more than once on the same storage
repository (MySQL) -- so the system will be deploy per machine. Do it and data
is lost. So if I have two or more MFI client, I need to allocate another
machine (virtual or not) and do the same technical configuration for each MFI
(i.e. installing the pre-requisites again like MySQL and JBoss).

In a data center point of view, it will be too costly and exhausting of
repeating the same job over and over again.

To resolve such issue, there are two options I can think of:
(1) debug the source code on each instances of Mifos, to replace the database
name (Mifos1, Mifos2...) and its corresponding IP address per MFI.

(2) the usage of "web.config"/xml thing that would accept changes of technical
configuration everytime a new instance of the system and database is required.

May be this issue can be consider and integrated in Mifos Configuration Wish
List. I humbly recommend option #2.
