Hi,
I am currently involved in one of Grameen's Mifos v1.1 lighthouse in the
Philippines. We are about to conduct the UAT with SECDEP (MFI). I am seeking
advice or suggestion with our UAT. It will also be great if somebody
could share us their existing work on Mifos UAT/test script so we would have
basis. Anyways, here is the test plan & test script that we have prepared:
--- TEST PLAN ---
Database
1. Check data integrity (Source Data vs. Mifos Database) like format,
type, value and length
2. Verify referential integrity of linked tables
3. Confirm number of records migrated.
4. Benchmark speed of data transfer.
User Interface
1. Check if migrated data appears in the right field of the web page/s.
2. Verify that all Look-Ups are properly populated like user title and
educational level.
3. Verify if items and its dependencies are properly placed or linked
to each other like center and groups.
4. Confirm that migrated data contains the complete set of information
like list of barangays.
5. Validate that information corresponds to its parent data like client
data.
Reports
1. Check if mapped data falls in the right column of the report.
2. Verify accuracy of value shown/printed in the report.
3. Confirm report consistency of retrieved information.
Output:
1. Create the following listing by extracting the items from the Mifos
database and have them signed by the SECDEP:
* Grouping – will contain branch, center, loan officer and group
information.
* Loans product – will contain Product Category, Loan Product Details,
Loan Amount, Interest Rate, Repayment Schedule, Fees and Accounting.
* Savings product – will contain Product Category, Saving Product
Detail, Targeted Deposits and Withdrawal Restriction, Interest Rate and
Accounting.
* Other Look-Ups (Fees, Funds, Checklist, Holidays, Salutation, User
title, Marital status, Educational level, Religion, Business activity, Purpose
of loan, Officer title)
2. Test Script

1. Does the data transferred to Mifos the same with the source data?
2. Will you rate the speed of the data transfer? 1-lowest, 10-highest.
3. Does the total counts of records migrated in the database equal the
total counts of records in the migration template?
MIFOS User Interface
1. Is Mifos (database & application UI) configured in accordance to
your specifications?
2. Does the information of data correspond to its parent data? Ex.
Client and Groups
3. Does the data shown falls in the right fields?
4. Are all look-ups populated properly? Ex. barangay, Munipality/City
5. Does the migrated data contain the complete set of information?
6. Are all functions and features described in walkthrough operational?
7. Does the client registration date <= savings/loans start date?
8. Does the items and its dependencies are properly placed or linked to
each other?
9. Does the data mapped to destination accordingly?
Reports
1. Does the data falls in the right column of the report?
2. Does the report show the accurate value in the report?
3. Are the formula used in the reports corresponds to what is currently
being used by your organization?
4. Does the speed of retrieving report fast? 1-lowest, 10-highest?
