We tested 50 user loads with JMeter and have got some interesting results.
Firstly, there seems to be some difference in the way JMeter generates hits from
concurrent users when compared to LoadRunner - at least with respect to the
distribution it uses to serve concurrent users. JMeter seems to be far quicker
in completing a test that has the same think time configured as LoadRunner -
because of this difference we were able to unearth what seems to be a functional
issue in Mifos. Attached are some of the screen shots that explains the issue,
what happens is on load Mifos occasionally throws up - "You do not have
permissions to perform this activity" even for an admin user. We are sure that
it is a load related problem because if we reduce the ramp up speed of the
users, this error goes off and if we increase it we are able to consistently
replicate the error.
Because of the above permission error (See Collection_Sheet_ErrorPage.png), the
null pointer exception has come while selecting the branch (Office); you can see
the null pointer exception in Branch_Select_ErrorPage.png
