Ryan Whitney commented on MIFOS-1471:
-------------------------------------
I would like to up the priority of this enhancement since we're moving into
hosting as this is a potentially easy way to avoid potential confusion and
pitfalls for clients and ourselves.
Currently all Mifos installations look the same, there is no way, other than
the URL (which doesn't necessarily stand out), to identify from one to the
other. I could see the potential scenarios happening
1. Client wants to do some testing and accidentally does this on production.
2. Mifos team is researching into a client issue on their system and
unknowingly makes some changes or does some tests on a production system.
Most often we can recover from these issues by fixing the data but its a
situation best avoided.
Having a logo that easily identifies the instance that's running, or some other
visual aid that pops out to the user, would help in avoiding this scenario.

> Naganand at GK requested this feature.
> NGO's and donors frequently want to see Mifos in action at GK. Naganand has
> demo'ed the functionality, but the visitors want to *really* see that it's GK
> in
> action.
> This item is the sort of bell/whistle I'm not a fan of, but it does make for a
> better presentation and demo for us, too.
> If the LOE is low, I would like to see it in 1.1, if possible.
