Git repository backups are not really essential, since every clone is an
effective backup. However, repository metadata (config, description, and
hooks/) are never cloned, hence, must be manually backed up. We were previously
using rsync to back up everything found on sf.net servers, but this is
ineffective since git is a transactional system.
