The Mifos acceptance tests use data sets to preload standard data for each test
to ensure a known starting point. The data sets are also used to compare
expected results to actual results. This mechanism is slow to maintain and
execute. Some tests that test approximately 8 seconds spend 6-7 seconds
dealing with data sets.
This story would do a spike on replacing the current dbunit implementation with
a system that has:
- faster test execution
- less data set maintenance
- less cost in upgrading data sets
