The usefulness of Create Loan account - Review installments screen could be
improved tremendously. Currently, the user takes this screen as the first
opportunity to review the loan repayment schedule. User can either "Preview",
which leads to last screen in loan approval process, or "Cancel" the loan
account entirely. However, these options are not intuitive at this stage of
loan approval process; if given the opportunity to review the installments, I
would expect to either approve the installments, then leading to review of the
whole loan package (that is, what "Preview" button currently does), or modify
the installments, either by backtracking to previous screen, or by using
additional tools to modify the repayment schedule to one's liking within the
Review installments screen(latter option preferred). To modify the schedule,
one has to progress to "Preview Loan account information" in order to return
to the loan entry screen to modify the schedule-- which leaves the "Review
installment" screen without any functional purpose--especially as the exact
same information is available on "Preview Loan account" screen. Further, a
user who reviews the loan on "review installments screen" and wishes to modify
would intuitively hit the "Cancel" button to go back to previous screen and
modify the loan--but of course it cancels the loan entirely.
Ideally--"review installments" screen would be improved to include tools to
modify the payment schedule. This would include ability to specify number of
repayments, OR specify the size of the total payment to determine the number of
installments (this is how our organisation works--we drive the payment schedule
on the amount of money the customer can afford to pay back every period).
