Data Warehouse: Year and Month summary aren't taking date into consideration

Ok, here's what's happening.
If the script is run in the past, its taking the totals for year + month that
have been entered so far, instead of considering the date.
for example, if On October 30th, I ran the data from October 21st on up, it
will enter in the amount for the month on October 21st, even though not all the
transactions were entered yet.
So the scripts work going forward, as they run day to day, but if we have to
run them in the past, they'll put in incorrect values in the past.
