From Michal
Hi Kay,
I have investigated different approach to display defined labels on ftl
pages. We can use taglib mifos-html (MifosLabelTag class) to get labels from
db. Than, we can use standard macros to populate messages with values. This
should do the trick, and it would be simpler and faster than using Spring.
However, we have to prepare a different parametrized string for every piece of
ftl page where "defined labels" are used. So about 30-35 new messages. Then
those messages need to be referenced from ftl page. I think whole change can be
done in 3 days for English messages. In my opinion is safer than going info
Spring-solution.

Michał

> Answering your question about defining labels on FTL pages: is about 30-35
> places where labels that could be defined are used.
> From Van:
> Yes, my understanding of this thread is that the 30-35 places Michal mentions
> would either require properties file based customization or need to have the
> label tag reintroduced.
> We need to figure out which way we want to go and fix in E
