Retain line feeds in free text answers

Questions that are answered with Free text provide the user a edit control
where the user can use Enter to give spaces between lines, itemize answers,
etc. For example, answer to question could contain 5 lines such as:
There are 3 whats:
1. What 1
2. What 2
3. What 3
After user submits survey then views response that contains the above answer,
the answer is all condensed to a single line and appears as:
* what?: There are 3 whats: 1. What 1 2. What 2 3. What 3
This is difficult to read! Request display show line feeds as user entered.
