Centersource built a custom content type, Deployment Project, that leverages a
node reference field linking to a file upload field.
The way functionality should work is that you edit or create an existing
Deployment Project. You add a file upload via the node reference for each
category. Deployment Overview Upload is one of the categories.
Once a file is uploaded and saved the file should then be directly linked from
the Deployment Project Node under that category under Downloadable Content
header for that section
For the Deployment Overview Upload category, one is able to successfully upload
a file. But the direct link in the node isn't displayed.

Screenshot shows the file has been uploaded for Deployment Overview but not
linked to: http://mifos.org/node/819
File upload with a direct link is working for all other sections (i.e. see
Reporting)

Enabling the direct link to the file involved a bit of custom coding but the
content type is relatively straightforward utilizing node reference.
