The site mifos.com uses 34 non-core modules, and mifos.org uses 122. Many of
these modules undergo fairly frequence updates, often to remove security holes.
Thus the sites need to be upgraded every month or so, or more frequently if
needed to repair security exposures.
It would be difficult and time-consuming to test these modules and to test for
possible harmful interactions between them after an upgrade. Developing an
automated test suite would help gain confidence that the sites are not broken
after an upgrade.
