I have investigated this issue. It appears to be a problem with Pentaho's
built-in function that counts pages. This only appears when sub-reports are
present. There are similar issues on Pentaho's JIRA like PRD-2933: Page Of
Pages with Subreports not working (http://jira.pentaho.com/browse/PRD-2933)
resolved in release 3.7 or PRD-3133: Page of Sum does not work
(http://jira.pentaho.com/browse/PRD-2933) still unresolved. I've tried some
workarounds but all of them have their own issues. It is possible to fix page
numbers with removing page breaks between sub-reports but then they might be
split into two pages. It seems that putting sub-reports in cascade: the main
report contains one sub-report and each sub-report contains one another
sub-report. However then there is a problem with separating one sub-report from
another. It is also not possible to hard-code page numbers as in HTML there is
only one page whereas in PDF there should be three.
