BIRT is itself an OSGi application - running inside a WAR.
I estimate that re-OSGi-ifying that to run inside Virgo would be... possible,
but require prior OSGi know-how.
Personally I believe that the earlier planned OSGI Spike should be put on-hold
for a while, for the community to adopt Workspace 2.0.
