Looks like these are causing problems after all. Example:
From CenterUIResources.properties:
{noformat}Center.NoOfClients=\# of clients\:{noformat}
From CenterUIResources_es.properties:
{noformat}Center.NoOfClients=\no. de clientes\:{noformat}
A diligent translator preserved the backslash, but twn silently drops the "\n",
likely assuming that it is a spurious newline escape sequence. The resulting
translation is broken.
