For Write Off (and Reschedule). If there are future instalments the 'next
instalment' (1st future one) is not being processed resulting in wrong entries
on the loan_schedule and account_trxn tables.
Q1: Should the next instalment be considered a future instalment for write offs
and reschedules?
If yes, interest, fees/charges/penalties due wouldn't be
written-off/rescheduled. If no, they would be.
Write offs and reschedules share a lot of code with 'Make Early Repayment'.
Make Early Repayment has specific logic for the 'next instalment' but this is
skipped for write offs and reschedules.
Possibly separate jira issues but putting questions here for now (related to
write-offs and reschedule)
Q2: Currently, the amount written to the account payment entry is just the
principal. I'd assume it should be the total amount of whatever was written
off/rescheduled?
Q3: Currently, only principal entries are post to the financial_trxn table (GL
debit / credit table). I'd assume there should be debit/credit entries for all
amounts written off/rescheduled.
As far I can make out none of the above issues is a regression (all found in
2.0.3). I didn't go back before 2.0.3 but I think the issues related to Q2 and
Q3 have been there for many versions (maybe since start). I think that the Q1
issue probably started when changes were made w.r.t. waiving interest around
early repayments.
