Here is how exactly I've done the patch / hack:
1. Renamed reporting-libs/src/libs/coreapi.jar to coreapi_MIFOS-5119.jar (incl.
pom.xml adapations)
2. Removed the following class files from reporting-libs/src/libs/coreapi.jar :
* org/eclipse/birt/core/framework/osgi/OSGILauncher.class
* org/eclipse/birt/core/framework/osgi/OSGILauncher$1.class
* org/eclipse/birt/core/framework/osgi/OSGILauncher$2.class
* org/eclipse/birt/core/framework/osgi/OSGILauncher$3.class
*
org/eclipse/birt/core/framework/osgi/OSGILauncher$ChildFirstURLClassLoader.class
3. cd reporting-libs; mvn install
4. rm -rf ~/.m2/repository/org/mifos/birtlibs/coreapi/
5. reporting/pom.xml adapted
6. saved
