Udai Gupta commented on MIFOS-5111:
-----------------------------------
Lukasz,
I think these are excellent observations.
I completely agree with all your points, I have mostly just enabled to previous
code with removing validation and making storage under MIFOS_CONF by default
instead of database.
validation : previous validation was that only jpeg or 30KB size should be
allowed, so I will take a look again on the validation part
to make it jpeg, png, gif upto 300 KB allowed.
delete : there was no such option previously, but I think we don't allow delete
in Mifos as we confirm twice about submission. ;)
display ratio : I don't know why it was fixed earlier. I am fine with making it
display original ratio.

> add an implementation that allows client photos to be persisted/stored on
> filesystem that is easy to extend for different types of environments e.g.
> local filesystem for simple installation, or storage on S3 if on Amazon etc.
> A number of organisations request this: admcambodia, vastech, etc
> see MIFOS-2901 or MIFOS-1462 for historic reference
