Vishwas, GL entries code at present doesnt handle zero or null interest - I'll quickly fix that but in general I think you should be using the Money concept when dealing with monetart amounts rather than BigDecimal as it has functionality for comparisons that is cleaner than using compare approach and handles null BigDecimals already so you dont have to check etc
