I think I can talk about items 1-4.
The client loans listing report (and probably other loan related reports showing Fund) uses the fund_id on the loan table when fetching/filtering the data... however, it looks like that relationship isn't populated on loan (I'm sure it was at one point).
So, a loan will always be associated with the fund (or no fund) related to the loan product.
Action: If this is confirmed by Keith or Vishwas (can't choose or edit fund at loan level) then I'll create a different jira to fix any related reports.
As for the loan purpose dropdown... there is a system defined code value called loan purpose... users can add their specific loan purpose values (or not) and the report will filter by that. I've added sheep and sugar to the demo server as examples.
