For now, I had asked Goutham to follow what mifos had (both start date and end date). The main reason being that you might have loan which are no longer active, but might want to create a historical loan for that loan product (currently inactive)
So there is no process for autocmaking loan products inactive, just a date check on the loan application date to see if the loan product was applicable at that point in time
