To reach feature parity with Mifos X, we should add support for tracking if a group has been trained or not and date of training (we can ask community if this feature is needed).
This likely is a simply adding another field as part of the default fields when creating a group.
Here's an explanation of how it's supported in Mifos 2.x:
"Group Trained: Training is an MFI-wide setting and the training flag indicates whether a group has been trained. When a group is marked as Trained, a Training Date must be specified. A group can be marked as Trained only once and only one Training Date is saved per group record. Once the Training Date is saved, it cannot be edited or re-entered."
