Currently both fees and loan schedules are rounded to zero, one or 2 decimals. In a lot of countries (such as Tanzania where 100TZS equals 0,06$) this is not enough. Is it possible to features to allow rounding to 10's, 100's or 1000's? A possible solution could be to save it as a negative number of decimals in the current decimal field in the product/charge tables.
Whilst a negative decimals approach might work to product multiples to the power of 10, if you wanted multiples of 20's, or 50's then I think the best way is to use the Ceiling and Floor functions like in excel to produce valid multiples.
right now I am thinking of supporting and extra parameter to be used with Money if zero decimal places is selected for currency to allow user to define in what multiples to round towards.
See Money.java line 69/70 for start of code that spiked this approach.
