Hi @Ed, I would like to work on this issue. Here's how I am planning to proceed with it,
1. Make the default setting of the menu to remain expanded. 2. Move the main area of the app a little to the right hand side(by default), so as to accommodate the expanded menu. Right now the menu hangs over the main area after hover. Which we surely can't keep if the menu is shown by default. (any other suggestions on this). 3. Above all the menu items, add another item with just a "less than" - angle bracket(<), which will indicate that clicking on it will push the menu towards left. 4. Change the position of menu icons to right hand side, so that once collapsed we can only show those icons. 5. When user clicks on '<', menu will be collapsed with only icons being visible, as shown in above attachments. 6. Once menu is collapsed simply change '<' to '>' to indicate that clicking on it will expand the menu, again.
Waiting for any changes or suggestions? else I can go with this and start working on this issue.
