Currently, if a standing instruction fails, user needs to wait till next installment due date for the standing instruction to be re-tried. There is no way to manually or automatically invoke the standing instruction again. There should be a way for the standing instruction to be re-tried, once the issue has been subsequently - eg. a customer deposits additional money in savings account on the next day when a standing instruction fails due to insufficient funds.
Steps followed: 1. Create a Loan account of weekly repayment for a client on backdated, and create a savings account for the same client on same date. 2. Let the balance in the savings account be < the loan installment due, (eg. activate savings account on 27th of May 2014 with min deposit of 200. also disburse a loan for the same client on 27 May 2014, weekly repayment and let on 03 June 2014 the repayment amount should be 400. 3. Create a standing instruction for that client so as to pay the loan dues from savings account. 4. Run the scheduler job "Execute Standing Instruction" which fails due to insufficient fund in the savings account. 5. Change the system date on 04 June 2014 and deposit 1000 on above savings account. and again run the scheduler job "Execute Standing Instruction". > The due loan amount is not getting paid in-spite of balance in the savings account for the loan repayment > Here need to wait until next repayment date.
It would be better to have implementation such that if Scheduler job is run on any date standing instruction should execute and allowed to pay the collect loan repayment that is overdue till the current date through savings account.
