If you look in the Knowledge Center on mifos.org, we have some documentation
from earlier projects.   There¹s lots of information in there although its
not well organized at the moment.

As for selecting the appropriate vendor, things to make sure are:
1. They have strong database and SQL skills.  I don¹t think they necessarily
have to be MySQL experts, but they are familiar with more popular databases.
2. They show a strong interest in doing lots of quality assurance.  This is
vital, you want to work with an organization that¹s going to be paying
attention to detail and willing to spend the time to validate the work they
are doing.

In the last project I worked on, we had a team that consisted of two
software engineers and one business analyst, which worked pretty well for
us.  There was probably an additional 1.5 people required to work on the
project, doing additional business analysis and some programming/testing.
