That, too, is by design.  I can understand how frustrating that is. :)

And actually, I don¹t think its the date that you created the office that
matters but the dates that you created the clients.

Is there anything stopping you from reseting the database back to the
default and re-doing the configuration at an earlier date?  How much data
entry have you done?

I would also ask how many clients you have and why you are choosing to enter
in that historical data?  Are those loans from back in September 2008 still
active?  If so, there may be another option that we¹re currently doing with
a Mifos client here in the Philippines.  With them, they are opening loan
accounts based on the remaining balance of the loan.  In fact, I have just
created a worksheet that allows a person to enter in the balance and
interest to be paid, along with the number of payments left and it will
return an adjusted interest rate that you can enter to create a loan that
matches the remainder.  Currently it only works for loans that are flat
rate, but I¹m sure it could be adapted to others.
