I think there should not be any problem running Mifos on Windows 7 (32 bit).

I haven't encountered any issue yet and I am using Windows 7 (Ultimate
Edition-32 bit) for development (and building, deploying, testing) at
my box for last 6 day.

You might have to take care of Windows 7 UAC (User Account Control). I
have just turned UAC off to make it fast, But turning off UAC could
make system vulnerable in open environment (or network).

I would say NO to use Windows 7 for Mifos in production, because
Windows 7 is in early stage and it looks like there are some
comparability info still need to be gathered by MS folks for
softwares.
