Can you please explain why the current five level office hierarchy won¹t
work?  Is this because Area and Place are below branch?  If that¹s the case,
you can merely rename one of the middle levels as a branch and the branch as
a place.

For example, Mifos by default has: Head Office -> Regional Office ->
Divisional Office -> Area Office -> Branch Office

By using the Define Labels feature you can make
Divisional Office = Branch Office
Area Office = Area
Branch Office = Place

Additionally, if its just for reporting purposes you can use the work around
that Amit suggested, where you use custom fields.

I would recommend against modifying the core code.  That¹s an expensive and
time consuming process, not to mention it can become a pain trying to
upgrade Mifos in the future.

I suggest we try to work through a viable work around on the community and
keep the option to modify the core code as a last resort.
